MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY

You will obtain a complete study of the mouth to evaluate the quality and quantity of maxillary bone, the type (conventional,zygomatic or pterygoid) and number of implants needed in each case, as well as the need, or not, of complementary treatments (periodontal type, bone regeneration or bone reconstruction).

The maxillofacial surgeon performs from complex interventions of reconstructive craniofacial plastic surgery, surgery of the skeleton of the face, procedures of aesthetic surgery of the face and neck to extractions of wisdom teeth, apicectomies or placement of dental implants.

Treating all types of possible diseases:

• Lack of jaw bone or jaw

• Problems in the salivary glands

• Problems in the oral mucosa

• Pathologies of the temporomandibular joint

• Facial trauma

• Head and neck tumors

We also have a specialized unit in Pediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Maxillofacial Physiotherapy Unit for better post-surgical rehabilitation, or for those cases referred by an otolaryngologist.
